I keep turning off Sentry Mode on my '22 Model 3 and it keeps coming on again! It's causing battery drain and I have left the car parked with 10% and went out next morning to see 6%. Not much fun if you are travelling 12 miles to work where you get free charging! How do I make sure no battery drain?

I'd be very nervous about letting my battery go down to 10% without being able to connect to a charge point. However, are you switching Sentry off via the in-car screen or your phone App? My works fine using the screen and although I haven't tried it via the App, I'd be wary of using that.

Also, are you sure it's not 'recording' that keeps coming back on? When I disable Sentry, 'Recording' always seems to come back on after a few seconds. I then tend to lose approx 2% battery per day with the car parked in my garage, not charging and with Sentry off.

I guess the best advice would be to contact Tesla though and ask them to take a look.

Sentry turns itself off when the battery goes below 20%.

A drop from 10 to 6 overnight can be caused simply by a drop in battery temperature. The car even warns you when you park in low temperatures at low SoC to plug in.

Are you sure nothing else is waking the car? No apps like TeslaFi polling it, or Octopus Intelligent charging?

If I have Sentry off in mine, it literally takes days to lose 1%.

As said sentry won’t run below 20% soc so something is wrong and a reboot might help or it’s something else.

Reboot is easy, press and hold in the steering wheel scroll wheels.

The rest of the settings, and there a few possibles, are explained here

Good point about other things waking the car up. If you keep checking on the car via the App, that will drain the battery.

I'm amazed to hear you lose 1% over several days. Mine loses approx 2% per day.
