Premium Connectivity

Video streaming, traffic indication on map, Sentry cam streaming (if turned on).
Thanks. I didn't know you could stream the Sentry Cam. That's a useful feature. I knew about the traffic indication but I live way out in the country and so rarely encounter traffic so whilst it's a nice thing to have, it's probably of no benefit to me. Video streaming isn't much use either. It's a shame you can't pick and choose the features you want and pay accordingly. You've helped answer my question though. Premium Connectivity probably isn't something I need or want.

You can just use your phone as a hotspot and connect the car to your phone so other than the tiny faf it does most of what you'll probably need it too.
I'm just a little confused by what you said. Are you saying the car will do most of what I need/want without paying the extra for Premium Connectivity? And are you talking about music/video streaming through the phone? Can I live stream Sentry without paying for Premium Connectivity? If so, how do I do that?Obviously, some people like Premium Connectivity and some don't. With all the comments, I think I've concluded that I probably don't need it because I haven't really used any of the features since the car arrived 3 weeks ago. As much as I like the idea of live streaming Sentry to my phone, I haven't even tried to use that. As I said, I think if Tesla offered a 'menu' of features and priced accordingly, then I might opt for the Sentry feature on its own.
I assume I can subscribe to Premium Connectivity in the future if I change my mind? Perhaps someone can confirm this?

Yes, so let's say you're going on holiday and on the trip kids want to watch some films or something while charging then you can pay for the month and cancel before renewal, no contract.I assume I can subscribe to Premium Connectivity in the future if I change my mind? You can’t remotely stream camera images without premium but that’s limited to a few minutes per day and you can’t stream past events remotely.Premium connectivity is otherwise pretty much just connectivity, if you provide the connectivity via a hotspot then most things work, the only other exceptions being satellite images on the map and traffic visuals (although traffic info is still available). Things like the Tesla Spotify account still work when using a hotspot.
I can’t say I miss it.
