Wife new Tesla Model 3

Her ordered a new Model 3 yesterday, 2/06/2022

White, white interior, 19 inch proper alloy wheels

The Tesla app shows delivery between November 29 and January 13.

The guy in the Tesla dealership, it would more than likely be delivered early march.Wife was happy with that, as it should get a "23" reg plate.

If by chance it does come early, can one delay collection so to get the "23" plate from March 1st ?

Most dealers will usually hold a car for a few weeks if need be but being a Tesla you would have to check when it was registered, it’s possible it is done even before it gets to the dealer and is done ahead of time when allocated at port.

Generally speaking if you don't take the car when Tesla want you to they just allocate it to someone else.I was reading on the owners FB group this evening that some owners who were promised their car would be delivered were told there weren't enought drivers to deliver the cars, and if they wanted it they needed to pick the car up from Southampton docks.

I guess that's the sort of behaviour Tesla can get away with when demand outstrips supply so much.
