Just a random thought based on something in another thread about relatively low speed in reverse being scary: is a Tesla limited in reverse? Is the throttle map different? I didn't think to try it on my test drive and certainly it seemed very controllable when I did reverse it. Is reverse always in the equivalent of chill mode? I assume that despite there being no technical reason it won't do full acceleration or speed in reverse?

Yes there is a software limiter in reverse. I haven't tried it myself but heard it stated in an Outofspec video and they know their stuff. No idea what the speed limit is.

It's definitely different in reverse, I have to stab the pedal harder to get up the dropped kerb outside my house. It will only go about 15mph flat-out though I believe; which feels plenty fast when you're going backwards!

I remember managing 58mph in reverse in my old man's XJR back in the day. It eventually spun and I had no control to stop it, thankfully I was on a very wide runway.

I remember seeing my Dad's 3.8 S Type showing a speed in reverse.
But lots of folk on here said I must have imagined it, as the Jags speedo won't read in reverse.
I'm certain I saw 30mph one day though?

Yep it 100% did read in reverse. Not my proudest teenage moment but somehow I lived to tell the rather dull tale.

Yes, I'm certain it did too.
