Hi folks, I took delivery of my 2022 Model 3 RWD last Friday and noticed that the rear seal around the rear window/bootline is different on the left (passenger) side, vs the rubber "gutter" on the right hand side of the car.

Does this look normal to you or do I need to get a Tesla service appointment to rectify?

It doesn't look right to me but then again, I've heard about people having problems with shut lines and other minor things with Tesla's. I'd get it checked.

It’s normal. The rubber is cut away on the left to allow space for the powered boot strut.

That rubber strip is only there to prevent water running off the window into the boot when the boot is open. It’s not a weather seal.

Exactly the same on my 2022 also. I think it might be a new seal as mentioned above to prevent runoff from the rear window. Whilst it looks wrong it's much more elegant than some of the aftermarket solutions for the earlier Model 3's!
