Has anyone fitted an aftermarket towbar on their Model 3?

Which one did you go for?

I want to tow a small Jetski, nose weight less than 55kg.

Be careful that Tesla did not certify all model 3s with a towing weight. It was only done for those with a factory fitted tow bar. Those without still have the same mounting points but have zero allowed trailer mass.

Tesla really don’t like it and having the factory fit tow bar there’s a lot of electronics associated with it so rear sensors, traction control, autopilot etc all adapt to use it safely.

Although tesla don’t list it, you can still factory order a tow bar but you have to contact tesla. A bit late sadly if you already have your car.

They have moved to a dealer/service centre fit option on the model y and there are rumours the model 3 will go the same way, but again, sadly, that won’t be retrospective.
