See mixed reviews online, lots of folks saying that this area is particularly bad for stone chips, hence Tesla offering a pre-cut PPF section to protect this area. It's £50 though, and this is only a lease car after all.

Has anyone done it, was it worth it? I notice there's an eBay seller doing similar for just £25 instead, also pre-cut.

I looked around and decided on the official Tesla one as for a few quid I didn’t want to have something that didn’t quite fit.

It was easy to do, just follow the instructions. I too identified it as a risk area for Chips after reading various forums.

Probably more reason to do it on a lease than a private car as they’ll hammer you if it’s beyond what they accept as fair usage when you hand back.
