Well to the French resorts….

Just wondering how people have found taking one to a ski resort? Looking at La Clusaz, whilst there a few destination chargers, not sure how receptive hotels and restaurants are to to non residents using them? Don’t mind buying dinner, but a couple of hours is not going to fill a M3P.

Where we will be staying has no charging facility, not even via a very long extension lead wink

ABRP suggests if we fill up in Geneva, then should arrive with 40%, clearly not enough to get back! Looks like there are a couple of slow public chargers in the resort, but have no idea how heavily they are used.

Will the battery charge fall away quicker when parked up in the cold for a week? Yes sentry will be off.

Any experience of chains on a M3P?

First world problems, and I hope Omnicron does not scupper the trip in late Feb… heyho;)

Part of the approach to my garage is a grass surface - my M3 slips and slides when it's wet, so I've often wondered how they perform in snow. Internet people seem to suggest they're fine, but I do wonder given the quick loss of traction mine suffers from.

It sounds, from your description, a little risky to go to a resort without being able to charge it.

Which is fundamentally about the tyres, no car can compensate for something that doesn't exist (grip).

The PS4Ts most TM3s come with, don't like the cold, so spare set of boots would be my suggestion.

Yep - but I'm also comparing it to other cars I own, also on road tyres. They don't lose traction as much as the Tesla does.

Further internet trawling shows the in resort chargers are provided by Eborn, seems to be an at scale provider, but are they the french equivalent of Ecotricity when it comes to reliability?

Car will have recently fitted Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, plus I’ll buy some chains.

Are these just tap and connect, or do you need an app?

Enjoy La Clusaz - it's a lovely resort, especially for families.

I always used an SUV on winters, so can't help with the charging question.
