Tesla Screen Says "Unwrapping Gift" Do not Drive

Try finding your tyre pressures
Or trip computer
Or turning on or off your heated seat
Owners group comments are 80% thumbs down, 20% thumbs up and two fingers to 18 month old Model S owners. Gawd help all us Model 3 owners if they do the same thing to us when they bring out the new infotainment system next year.

I was at the T5 Superchargers tonight and you only get 30 mins max or they charge you £4 for every 10 minutes over..Or trip computer

I set my timer to 25 mins and start it when the barrier goes up to allow enough time to get the ticket to reception to get stamped. You can imagine my frustration when I could not find the charging page to allow me to finish the charge early and unlock the cable!
Had to use the app to do it. Overall I think its an improvement but they need to sort out the bugs.

My 8 month old M3 went into melt down end of November.
3 weeks to get a workshop slot
More chance of getting a sleigh and 8 reindeer than a courtesy car
Got said car, after much much battling. No response from customer services or on site staff, had to find a decent technician.
2 day estimate, now looking at 2 weeks
But yeah, we got Sonic the fking Hedgehog

Well thanks Elon but I want to use my car. Anyone else having their screen locked and the bar not moving?
Never proceed to do an update unless you don't need to use the car for a reasonable period of time, I'd say an hour. It doesn't update itself so presumably you must have kicked it off at some point?Castrol for a knave said:

During the first visit I asked if they could find me a Model X as I was interested in the car going forwards. They obliged. Car was returned valeted and perfect.

No issue with Tesla Heathrow (West Drayton).

You do not get a choice with this update. The screen simply says unwrapping your present and off it goes. The screen is black and there are no options not to install it.
That's all a bit rubbish, do you get any sort of warning at all? Could you still drive it if you really needed to or is it totally bricked?TheRainMaker said:

The loading bar went 3/4 across and it sat there. After around one minute I came inside and posted it here
By the time I went back it had installed, so probably around 10 minutes. What got my goat was: If an emergency situation had arrived where I need to get to the hospital etc, the car would have let me down. Yes, it should have an option to install later and it's bad form.
Still learning the new layout but you can at least place shortcuts down the bottom which is way better.
