This is old news but Elon said he planned to open the SC network to other EVs.

I've just ordered a M3 LR and one of the deciding factors was exclusive access to the Tesla SC network. The cars are selling like hotcakes in the UK and I think we will see a lot of problems with SC availability in the not so near future as a result. Meaning by which, pulling up to find a queue of Teslas waiting to charge... So if the SC network opens to other EV marques this will get worse, and that worries me.

Thoughts?

Humm…I think he’s just saying the words. Read somewhere that Norway (?) required open access for planning approval of SC sites.
He’d be shooting himself in the foot if this really happens…

Got my M3SR delivery text a few moments ago biggrin

IMO Tesla SCs have definitely become busier in the 20 months I have had mine.

No scientific evidence biggrin

I have a model S since 2107. Superchargers were empty pretty much in 2017 & 18, completely different story nowadays. Although my only comfort is knowing that I'm charging for free, whilst the others probably aren't (not that it's much).

God knows the chaos that would happen with the short charging cables and 'other' EVs. They'll be parked in the wrong section taking up 2 chargers!!!
