Hi,

Interesting story (am sure it will be short lived).

For those non-link clickers, the story reports that owing to a bug, the new CCS superchargers are also currently providing charging (free) to non-Teslas.

Clever marketing.

Let non Tesla EV drivers see just how good the experience is and then take it away from them. wink

You're not the only person to come up with that theory. I'm really not sure what's going on, are Tesla about to let non-Teslas subscribe to the network maybe?

That would be amazing, but it's their killer app, why would they? I guess Elon's goal of just getting the world driving EVs could play in to why they would do it.

Tesla can see the wave of new EV propositions hitting their demand.

Got to respond!

It’s a bug. Tesla admit it’s a bug. It’s being fixed if it’s not already

Only a loyal Tesla fanboy would try and turn it into a positive and make out it’s a marketing trick

And only a 'hater' is childish enough to keep using the term 'fanboy' in every post.

It was a joke, as signified by the wink

Her's another emoji for you, guess what this one signifies.. rolleyes

Yawn
Maybe my point was directed at the person that responded as if you might be right

But as you self identified as a fanboy, carry on.

Wow we can't even discuss our theories on things now without being shouted down, such levels of salt rofl

Would have been a lot clearer had you used the quote function, as you've done above. I basically work under the assumption that anyone with a postive word to say about Tesla or their cars is considered a fanboy in here anyway so by that measure I am indeed.

I know, but it's apparently the Tesla 'fanboys; who troll threads having a negative affect on peoples quality of life. Go figure. smile

One question I have on the actual topic of the thread, why would anyone have tried to charge a non Tesla car at a supercharger and discovered this 'bug'? Seems quite the coincidence?

Well that reply now suggests you might actually believe what only an hour or so ago you said was a joke.

And secondly - if you’d been on any real Tesla owners forum you’d know it’s a frequent occurrence taking pictures of other cars trying to charge.

If you’d also been on a genuine Tesla owners forum you’d have seen Tesla’s response to it being a bug. Which makes me think you’re not on any genuine owners forums. Hmmmm

Just wondered why anyone would do it? You'd either have to be stupid or desperate for a 'comedy' instagram photo.

Quite correct, have no interest in owners forums as from past experience with other brands that's usually where all the fanboys and trolls hang out. smile

Not sure why you consider than to be worthy of a "Hmmmm" though? scratchchin
