Model 3 heated cameras
Discussion
I've seen a few videos from the US where by either a) the front facing camera is always heated (overnight when car is hibernating) and b) the side cameras (both on the wings and B pillars) are heated when the car is set to pre-condition..
Yet my model 3 does none of this - whats your experience?

I don't own a Tesla (sniff) so can't be sure, but is there the chance that the cameras are heated due to having the sentry mode enabled? Yet my model 3 does none of this - whats your experience?
On one of Bjorns videos, he came back from having left his Tesla and it was frosted/iced over. On the front windscreen was a patch where it was clear - he initially assumed it was for the camera from the Sentry mode - but when he checked - apparently it wasn't? The area of the screen that was clear was a/the sensor but not the actual camera lens, so there was no view out of the screen.
I think - may be wrong on that but i think thats what happened.
So to sum up - i haven't helped with the issue or question at all.

Yes, the front cameras behind the windscreen have heating elements in front of them.
If you condition the car with the app you need to put it in defrost mode to work, otherwise it will just warm up the cabin and not turn on the heating elements.
I don't know if the heating elements are on with the car in sentry mode as I don't use it at home, but it's easy enough to test.
The side cameras do not have heating elements to clear them, but there's enough heat generated by the cameras themselves to clear the glass if frosty.
