Well, I folded and ordered a new Model 3 Performance on Friday after they dropped the ARR to 0%. You cannot get any better than that on any new car. To think I almost folded a few weeks ago when it was 9.6%! Taking a PCP a full 48 month term is now about a 14K saving. Mental. Feel for anyone who purchased at the inflated rate.

Sticking a trade in deposit and will run it for a few years then probably VT which makes this very good value now for a new performace model. The good thing if keeping longer is obviously the residuls will be stronger on these now that is is the facelifted model.

Was dithering between this and an M4 xdrive for a while. Glad my decision is now made. Delivery in a few weeks accorind to the app. VIN and reg number have been assigned.

I'd do the same as it's a good deal with the new 0% APR offer. I have my current M3LR until December though and don't want a new one turning up and them overlapping for 4 months...

Hopefully I can time a deal in a few months for delivery in December and the 0% is still in place.

It's currently a chunk cheaper to buy on PCP, even if you don't plan to keep it, over getting a PCH. It gives you the added flexibility to be able to buy it at the end too if residuals are looking better than that ~£23k final value / final payment.

I am a bit miffed that we obviously have an inferior car here to the US model Performance. I guess you have to decide if you're happy to take what's offered and I think the extra over the LR is worth it for the other improvements like the adaptive suspension, the seats, the better modes etc..

I'm also a bit miffed that you can add the towbar to standard range and LR again, but it's not an option you can add on the Performance. Presumably it's only because of the different rear diffuser. I'd like the option to use my towbar mounted bike rack as a back-up option for carrying bikes if needed.

I had also waited a bit to see the stats compared to the US version with the different battery, but it all seems pretty negligible performance wise. UK cars are launching to 60 in around 3 seconds. That's not too shabby! Also noticed a few videos comparing the launch to the older M3P and it's certainly quicker off the mark. Not by a massive amount, but still noticeable. Not sure how long the 0% will stay in place, they have done it before and it was around 1 month.

Looking forward to picking it up smile

I don't think there's much transparency though. If you take the stats on face value it doesn't look like there's much of a discrepancy between the US and Chinese built cars. The times the US cars are achieving when measured independently by owners seems to show a larger gap though, particularly for sustained high-speed use. I've watched a few videos of UK cars being used on track and the batteries overheating after just one flying lap and then the power being cut significantly.

It's not a huge problem for me, this will be my wife's car and pretty much a shopping car. It does seem like the actual differences between the cars (US ones apparently dynoing at nearer to 680bhp) is larger than advertised.

Let's hope the 0% lasts longer than a month. I may even phone them and ask the question directly...
