So are people seeing more Tesla's about? As I expected to but the amount in my local area seems the same.

Lots of vw/merc/audi and 2 or 3 Polestar 2s but no increase in tesla that I have noticed. Which is odd.

Honestly, i see a lot more EQC, Hyundai, Audi EVs but that's because there were few previously. Still, Model 3s are becoming the dominant sight in Surrey. Next would be Hyundai.

So the people in your vicinity haven't been buying all the Tesla's?

I have no idea what to do with this information.
Maybe we should share locations so we can make a map of "perceived occurrence" per region?

1 in 6 of all EV's sold in the UK is a model 3, it outsells the Polestar 2 nearly 10:1.

Tesla's overall UK market share (all fuel types) is going up.

Round here they are everywhere, won't go a single journey without seeing them.

Same-every journey I see 'them'. That may be because i take the same route every time and the same 3 cars are always there biggrin

Always good to be skeptical, especially with a company well know for misleading their customers over and over again.
There's skeptical and there is just ignoring the blatant obvious facts.

The biggest cause of any accidents in any vehicle is never the equipment, certainly never software or sensor readings.

If you really care about road safety what you should be pushing for is the removal of the weakest link from operating 2ton+ metal boxes with upto 1000bhp on the roads.....

What blatant obvious facts am I ignoring In the Paris incident we’re discussing?

I’ve no idea what your being stupid photo has to do with anything.

.

Since you’re going way off topic - 737 Max sensors and software killed 346 people while the designers and regulators sat back and insisted the humans in control caused the crashes.

To be so closed to any possibility other than human error without even looking into the actual cause is extremely dangerous. When you do it to make money…..criminal.

Yorkshire Dales here. I see quite a few Teslas. I'm not aware that I've seen *any* other EVs up here. Different story when I'm down in London.

North Yorkshire too, lots of Teslas, noticeably more than a year ago. I see a few other EV's, but more Teslas than all others combined.

The reason why you don’t spot other EVs is because they follow brand themes. I see an EQC most days here but it took me a while to realise what it was. An ipace over the weekend and nearly missed it. Etrons I have to look twice at to make sure. I went somewhere last week and both chargers were taken, one was a i3 and easy to recognise, the other was a MG and I would t have known if it wasn’t plugged in. I bet there are a lot more than you notice.

As Johnny has just said, you just don't notice them.

Telsa (other imports) have grown 0.42% in the UK this year, Tesla total sales for this year in the UK are still lower than MG which is quite a suprise.

Yes, I do; as stated, I see the in London. I see the odd iPace around Skipton. Where I am (high up a dale), I suspect range anxiety keeps the low-range EVs away smile

I am in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and absolutely, range (or should it be charger) anxiety does deter people. Down in the cities, absolutely more Tesla's. Up here, much less. But, I also have to be very aware of any biases too. Since there are many more cars in the bigger cities and the roads much more congested, the incidence of spotting any EV is much higher. Since the roads around me are much less congested, I need to counter those biases and be reasonable. Yes, there are fewer Teslas (and EV's), but there are also fewer cars.

It's because all of the Tesla sales are 1 model, whereas the rest of the field is 50 models which fragments it somewhat, with each model being pretty rare.

Times reporting that Tesla has a problem with its Vegan leather, they are retrofitting leather in some, but also refusing to help many other owners. Apparently it bubbles up.

Also Elon (surprise, suprise) has been telling fibs again. He claimed to have sold all his houses and is living in a shed. But turns our he is living in a billionaire mates spare mansion and has also engaged agents to help him find a new mansion for himself and he has viewed several in person...

And don’t forget the widely reported issue with the Model 3 with 2017 battery packs in them?

Problems with supply chain and delivery, for sure, but really? Selling cars with degraded batteries? Mmm, sounds a little crappy to me.

Oh and the six sexual harassment cases against Tesla from workers at the Fremont factory. You know, that place with multiple EPA fines, a workplace that has an accident rate that is off the scale and also a racism issue. So yeah, been a same old set of stories for the savior of the human race.

Nor did this one

https://youtu.be/lDkSBqqofRc

Is there still an issue with these? There's been quite a few go up in flames from the 12v battery system faults.

Yes, seeing more Tesla`s, slowly but surely, other EV`s a little harder to spot but on the up too, I`d buy one for the wife but she flatly refuses to drive an auto. Not to worry wink

So don't get her a Taycan/Etron GT, all other EV's are fine.
