I picked up my 3R at the weekend, and am loving it!! Are there any upgrades that I should consider brakes etc??

Also, is it just my car or do all of them have the roll bar so close to the side of your head. Not a problem in normal driving, but wouldn't like to kiss that in an accident.

Roll bars are all like that. Try it with a helmet on!

Uh...none that I've seen before. They normally integrate them into the roof/windscreen surround and pad them to avoid just that problem.

Kind of defeats the point of having it really if the thing that's meant to save you ends up killing you.

Helmet's fine on a track but not quite so brillaint for the trip to work, but thanks anyway

Hi and welcome!

There have been a few spectacular crashes in the Noble (including a 100+mph one in South Africa) and I've not heard of any serious injuries???

Certainly I'd rather have the roll cage there if I did ever manage to roll it - I'm not sure GRP is that strong upside down!

If you are still worried then any normal "trim" shop could make you up a "zip" on or velcro on pad made either in black or the same colour as the headlining, but I've not heard of any owner doing it. The trimmer for Noble is just opposite the factory, if you want I'll dig out his name so you can chat to him.

Cheers

I plan to get some of the pukka padding that Safety Devices sell to cover the rollbars...
