Had my 3R 2 months, and had mounting problems with it, culminating in the fact it's now off the road because of mechanical problems. Called and emailed the factory for the last 3 days, and they've promised to get back in touch. Sent 6 emails and called 4 times, and I've been promised a response several times, and no response has happened.

Oh, That is but for a ear-bending from the dealer as to why I circumvented them 9am this morning (Always got the impression from you all that going straight to the factory was the best way to get a response on matters of a more serious nature).

Really quite miffed about paying nearly 60k for a car and it's stuck off the road. Am really surprised at the response. One of the reasons I bought the car was the almost family-like response from the boys at the factory when problems arise. Does this just not happen anymore. Really, really feel quite ticked off about all of this.. Starting to feel I've been dealt a lemon and nobody has started caring, yet. Anybody any ideas how I can get a response out of them?

Sorry to hear that.

My advice is get on the phone and speak to Bob Sharpe, or alternatively Richard Jones, who has always been very helpful when i have dealt with him.

E-mail isn't read that often by the factory from what i can gather

I'd get onto the people above and try to stay nice as it will in the end probably get you further - they are human and react like the rest of us if you are rude. If the dealership is giving you crap then I'd bounce that straight back and say you wouldn't have to have circumvented them if they'd been dealing with things adequately.

Getting an earbending from a dealer is bang out of order imho.

I've noticed the factory have been slower with responses in the last month or so. I know it's no excuse but I was assuming it's cos of preps for the Motor Show. They have been very good when I've contacted them in the past.

As for an earbending from the dealer, that is surely not acceptable. The customer is always right. You've done the most clear thing of all...you've spoken with your wallet! - putting the car up for sale and spending no more money in Noble's direction.

All,

Marcos' problems are quite a few it seems, and I understand his frustration. Unfortunatly it's rather spoilt his first impressions of the car. I can't comment about specifics, but it doesn't sound like the norm of customer service from both the factory or the dealerships.

It's true that all manufacturers are having a manic time with the show (Alan @ Marcos [the car people] has shown me the forms that have to be filled in just to build your stand - 32 of them running to 50+ pages, and that's just to get a chippy in the building!), and I'd imagine that with Noble launching the M400 now, and GTC at the show things are a bit hetic at the factory.

However, of course Marcos' expectations of being about to sort out his niggle and problem list should be met, so I've left a message at the factory and on one of the factory staff mobile phones for him asking if they could look at it first thing on Monday.

As I'm sure a few owners wil testify, the factory not getting back to people is quite unusual - normally they are more than happy to chat away for ages about nothing in particular!

Can perfectly understand how you feel, but noted your previous postings re Ferrari 360. A pattern perhaps? Not criticising...I'm the same...my expectations are rarely left intact after a brush with reality.

However...so far my GTO3R has been fine (almost!) Still time for it to go wrong though. We'll see.

See your point Re: My Ferrari, but bit of a different situation to this one, really. I bought a 360 Modena with a paddle-shift in Jan 2003 just when they'd released a new software update for the firmware on the Gearbox ECU. Turns out there was a bug in it, and it would either not select a gear - or worse still, stall the car. Just lots of beeping from the dash and warning about fluid levels in the Transmission pump (which were checked and ok). Must tell you, it was great fun stalling half-way across the roundabout at J12 of the M4. Car wouldn't select a gear for three minutes, Incredible how people can hurl abuse yet drive round you at the same time. Who says we men can't multi-task?

In hindsight, the dealer did try hard to fix the problem (my car went back to them 4 times to fix it, but they couldn't locate the source - I guess software problems are much harder to diagnose), but it wasn't until I ended up talking to Ferrari UK, and indirectly the factory that this all got sorted (Not sure of the politics, Ferrari seemed to refuse to admit there were problems with the gearbox to the dealer, yet off the record a contact there was perfectly happy to admit there may have been problems with a software release to the Gearbox ECU). Perhaps that clouded my judgement on this one, but it took some time before somebody talked to the factory, and only then did we get a solution. I could have saved a couple of months toing and froing and considerable time had we done this first.

P.S. I'm not a moaner generally. Promise. My other car is a Boxster, and, aside from the fact that means I have no soul, I've never had a bean go wrong with it.

Hi MDUROE

I am sorry to hear you have a few probs with your 3R

could you let us know what problems they are and why your car is still off the road?

How would you compare your boxster to the noble in general terms.
I would have thought after your modena you would have gone for a 911 C4 or Turbo

Cheers

Marcos,
Sorry to hear of your problems. I've just got my Red 3R back on the road after 2 weeks waiting for a new alarm to be fitted. Your dealer should look after you MUCH better.

I noticed on a previous thread that you were in the 2003 supercar run. I'm in this years'. Are you?
Chris.
