Right then ! I've contacted a couple of potential suppliers of a driver advanced training day.

I'm trying to get as much in as possible; Skid pan control, power sliding, track technique, car preparation & maintenance for tracking etc, etc.

I have no idea of a date or price or even location yet but it will almost certainly depend on how many people are interested.

I appreciate the lack of a date makes it difficult to say whether you're interested or not but if you are please post below and I'll add more and more info as I get it!

Can I suggest you talk to Ride Drive.

I'm doing exactly that course over one whole day for £120 all in at the end of May - organised by the friendly local TVRCC

Email me if you want full details.

I did Ride Drive in October. Did a whole day including use of an airfield to 'loose it' as often as possible. Great fun

Sounds good.

I'm out with Ride Drive on the 22nd, looking forward to sitting next to a traffic cop as opposed to getting pulled by one

You will be surprised how fast they push you - but ensure you never exceed a posted limit, only 'make progress' in a NSL.

I did one 'A' road section where I felt it was safe enough and hit 1.0 units, at the end of the section the cop said he thought I could have reached at least 1.1 units quite safely! It's after a day with these chaps that you realise they will rarely pull someone that is driving 'safely' while exceeding the NSL (as long as you are not taking the piss). It's pretty easy for them to spot how safe you are by the lines you take.

Excellent. It's looking like there's enough of us to have our own exclusive day. I have contacted 6 schools; some track, some airfield and a couple of flexible independents. I am now waiting to see who can offer us the best combination of instructors, time and cost. If the numbers continue to grow..and I hope they do! I may well have to look at splitting into two groups! I'll post ASAP with more info.

Owen.

Hmmm, i got pulled by Bib doing under a ton in an NSL Sunday last. Empty road. Pulled out, accelerated hard(minimum TED), pulled back in, slowed down again ;( Car i overtook was unmarked BiB

Except that most of the enforcement is done these days by a civilian in a van who's trying to make targets. I don't believe there are many cops who wouldn't do you for 110 if they caught you, irrespective of the risk.
