There is a better designed one now, a few people have had this happen. If it happens within the 12 months from manufacture / from the last replacement then they fix them totally gratis.
Sorry that's it's out of warranty - perhaps give the factory a ring (Bob Sharpe is your man) and explain the circumstances and see what they say? However, if I remember rightly the box isn't actually that expensive.
Oh - one other thing - previously dealers/the factory have just split the box apart and re-welded the baffles back in place - if you are handy with a Mig Welder you could problably do this yourself.
