Page 78 - 79 of this months CAR. Firmer ride, but not harsh, revised rack for more lock, Sparco seats, 425bhp, 400bhp per ton, bigger side scoops, black alloys. Aircon option.

Better place your orders now.

I can vouch for that engine, it sings.

Cheers,
Ian.

Scusi, but am wondering why a track car needs more lock - if anything, this is a benefit on the road?!

I hate to speculate, but it's probably on-going improvements to the cars, rather than specifically for the M400.

Cheers,
Ian.

Having sat in them, can say they are very nice indeed.

DanH, I would hope so since it is meant to be a track car!

Flicked through Car magazine at the petrol station. Good article and the main photo of the M400 going sideways is a great shot. One for Lee to frame on the office wall for sure. Anyone scan it in?

The car looks and goes well and is apparently not as harsh on the road as you might expect. Also, anyone else remember those graphite wheels on the original 3R at the 2002 Motorshow?

Having sat in the car, I can vouch that those Sparco seats are probably the best seats I've ever sat in - just incredible how you get extreme levels of comfort while at the same time they 'hold' onto you in a very sporty manner. Unfortunately they are not a retro-fit option for the 3R as the center tunnel had to be moved to accomodate them.

There is a queue forming quickly so get your orders in now!

My only slight doubt is that IMO the side decals are a worthy 'delete' option, and Lee/Simon obviously spent their youth watching too much

Sorry Chaps! Glad my service is now complete and the cars back home...

Having just come straight from Smiths I have to agree with Danny on that one. And RED!? That'll look great on a green car (NOT), or maybe they'll do it in black as well. I have to say I'm not a fan of the painted wheels either, although they will be a lot easier to refurbish. The jury is still out on the scoops, I think they need to be seen in the flesh, could'nt tell if they were carbon or plastic. Is that front (main) air intake a little larger? What a stunning picture though, did anyone recognise the driver?

Scoops are plastic...

Yes, it's bigger. Quite a few heavily tracked 3R's have the same redesign (e.g. the press cars).

Has anyone ever investigeted a flip seat of the same style - I mean a seat that hinges forwards so you can get to that luggae behind it easier instead of having to roll the current seat forwards on its runners (which is hard to do from outside the car)?!

From Simon's Press Release this morning:

Bearing in mind that the M400 will be popular among circuit drivers, Noble has moved both seats in towards the centre of the car by 15mm to allow more headroom at the side of, and above, occupants’ heads, especially if they’re wearing crash helmets. This re-positioning has also removed the slight pedal offset found in standard M12s. All M400s come as standard with four-point race harnesses.

Ian.

Press release has been sent to Pistonheads today. I'll leave the rest to them.

By the way, AMG, the extra lock is as useful on the track as it is on the road, when you're on the limit!

Simon,

Are you able to say if the new rack with be fitted to the 3 and 3R as well ?

It's not a new rack. We've re-designed the floorpan/footwell to accommodate the extra lock on the existing one.

As it stands, all these changes are unique to the M400.
