Going to a track day at Donington tomorrow. Anyone able to recommend what tyre pressures I should run. It's a 3R and I'll be running with a passenger.

Any help appreciated,

Cheers

Standard road pressures should be fine, unless you are both on the portly side!

Details here www.gto3.com/components/tyres.htm

Who is the trackday with? I was hoping to be at Donington today with RMA but work commitments got the better of me!

My dads at the RMA today in his Gallardo......he rang to rub salt in the wounds! Mentioned there was a Noble there.

Tomorrows day is with Gold Track driving I think.

Normally you'd probably want to let air out as the tyres are likely to run hotter and thus the air will expand. Best thing to do is use a pyrometer to measure the temp across the tyre when you come in. If its hotter in the middle its crowning, so lets some air out to try and even it up. Its a balance though as letting the air will affect the sidewall flex. Also the amount of camber etc will affect the temp spread across the tyres.

Topboss,

We always recommend using standard pressures for the track. Changing these will upset the car's handling - the M12 is very sensitive to pressure changes.

Hi TopBoss, That was me at Donnington yesterday in my 3R. I had a good chat with your father. The Gallardo was lovely.

You missed a great day. There were a number of Porsches, quite a few of which where in a high state of tune.

There was a Porsche 962, which unfortunately didn't get to run very much.

At lunchtime, they let an 1988 F1 Arrows car, ex derek warwick out for a few laps. Great to see. I really want one - but I'm too big top get into one.
