I can't believe it but I'm actually going down to Mole Valley tomorrow morning (Tuesday) and finally (AT LONG FECKING LAST) putting me money down on the second deposit and getting it into build! I am SOOOOOOOOO chuffed. I've been like a dog with two tails all evening. I'll be getting in before the motor show so hopefully the waiting list hasn't gone up since last I checked.
I would like to publicly appologise to you all regarding my child-like demeaner on this forum...I just can't keep my enthusiasm in check sometimes. I'm just an ordinary working class (petrolhead)bloke who had a dream of one day having a Supercar. To be honest it WAS just a dream, with not much chance of it ever becoming reality. Then one day, out of the blue, I got the chance and boy amI hanging on to it!
Want to say more but 5th gear is starting.
Martin.

Martin, at last! That's good news but how the Jesus-H can you expect to get an M12 (and one with a special paint finish) into build and delivered to you before the motor show?!?!?!

The way I read it, he is getting his order in, rather that expecting to get his car, before the show.

Thanks, MisterX, you are indeed correct - I misread Martin's comment "I'll be getting in" as I'll be getting it"!!!

Sorry Martin!

Just got back V6 GTO is now officially "in build". Only bad news is the ETA is OCTOBER! It's a good thing I got in before the orders generated by the motor-show start flooding in. Martin.

PS - Rob, was that what they call a "senior moment"?

I guess! And I'm as keen as you to see the end result -a metallic Turquoise M12 - pity it'll not be located in Blighty though!!!

Sound logic re getting your order in before the show - I expect a lot of interest!

Terrific news Martin. Is it going to stay here for a bit or will you be putting it down straightaway for flamenco lessons?

I think I'll probably have to come back for a week when it's delivered so I can put a 1000 miles on it and get it serviced before I ship it out. I'think I'll get the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander and then drive from there to Marbella. Martin.

PS - still pinching myself!

Martin,

I always thought 6 months was a normal lead time, unless you get an existing build slot. What do you plan to do for servicing after the initial 1000 miler ?

Martin if you like I'll collect your car and put 1000 miles on it for you I promise they'll all be at the rev limiter going sideways so it'll be nicely run in!

Ashley, it can be serviced at any Ford Motorsport Dealership. (I'll try to find out where Carlos Sainz used to get his Focus fettled)

Dan, 1000 miles is lot of 360's!( I've seen you drive, remember)
