I just found out that I will be leaving for approx: 1 year on business overseas and within the U.S. My Azure BLue 3R has the motor and just about ready for delivery (have not even driven it yet). I am trying to sell this for the exact same price someone would pay if they ordered a new one now. Has a/c, two extra speakers behind the seats, armourfend and blue/black alcantara int. Ready to go. Anyone know of anybody looking or have any advice as to where I might have the best luck selling please let me know. As it sits, the car is at 1G in Ohio and the motor is at Horsepower House waiting. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you get the track sump, upgraded brake lines and close pedals? Does it have an alarm (hope not)? Installed stereo (also hope not )? Any other upgrades-deletions or differences from what's delivered in the UK? What's the full price? I may be game.

I may be interested as well! However, not at retail price given the fact that I cannot pick the color. Please keep me in mind if you will be selling for less than your initial investment. BTW, what are you currently asking for it? Feel free to contact me direct via email.

within less than 1 hour after posting, I have had 8 interested parties. Asking retail is very fair. If you order as normal, you will understand what is involved and the work needed to get this far. It is worth it, but there is a lot of work involved. Plus you dont have to waite 6 months for car and then waite for motor. Those things alone are worth more than retail. Not trying to make a buck here, just asking what it will cost me to get another after my tour is up.

I notice that your car has alcantara. UK 3R models have leather interior as standard. Is this a difference in US spec, or just what you ordered ?

Ashley, I've ordered alcantara in my 3R as well. My car will be spending a lot of time in Spain, can you imagine sitting on leather that has been out in the Spanish sun? I also feel that alcantara is more comfortable and a lot better at coping with being ignored than leather too. Martin.

PS - do'nt get me wrong, I'm not "having a go", just pointing out that leather is'nt right for everyone.

ashp, leather is an option on the 3R here in the states with alcantara being standard. All be it the initial retail price reflects the lack of leather.
