Saw this earlier in today's FT...

"Noble Automotive, a Leicestershire, UK based sports car manufacturer is said to have developed a revolutionary zero-cost power booster for its sports cars. A source close to Noble said that a small white cylindrical unit is installed next to the engine which, when filled with tap water and used tea-leaves, produces an increase of 50bhp over their standard engines. Noble says that customers requiring even more increased power can opt to use the more pure bottled mineral water (EvianMax) along with with fresh tea-leaves, which the company says increases the power output by a further 25bhp, totalling 75bhp at the cooker-shaft."

An Exchange and Mart reporter is recovering in hospital after being savaged by the company guard-cat last weekend in a failed attempt to enter Noble's secret 'Area 51' development suite at their Barwell site in order to photograph one of the cylinders.

ENDS.

HA, this story is a sham. I have found the fundamental flaw that shows this to be an invention. Anyone really in the know would know that the guard cat was sacked two weeks ago for eating all the fish at Noble's 'wheels of Salmon' develoment facility. If anyone was savaged, it would be by the replacement head of security, Bernard. After years of working as Terry Scott's stunt double in Terry and June, Bernard - now 104 - releases that pent up aggression beating up intruders at Noble.

It's the new Coca Cola bottled water (the stuff with all the bad chemicals in) that was used for testing - so customers can't expect quite the same level of gains that the factory reached unless they use the same stuff (but I think it's been taken off the market now).
