Hi

i wonder how dirty on a wet day does it get inside the rear clam and has anybody had any experience in cleaning it without getting water in those important bits. Really boring topic i know.

Anyway something more exciting ,I am about to split from my girlfriend for 4 years (no violins please) and on this note I thought I will blow the engagement ring and the rest of the s..t that goes with it and hopefully buy a 3R!!! Money better spent I think.
So hopefully I will be looking for one soon looks like it's quite a new car built last year or something .1 owner cars look expensive so might just order new and worry about a new girlfriend in a years time. Now thats a better story!!!!Any serious suggestions

James, I recently asked the same question re cleaning the inside of the clamshells - just direct a light spray on the non-electrical parts - the water runs off once you close the shells - also remember to clean inside the closing joins for a good fit!

Re: a Noble instead of a girlfriend: I see you are a wise man, as being a Noble owner...

1) you'll always know what your getting.
2) you'll receive early warnings of impending changes.
3) an M12 will always look good - even first thing in the morning.

..and it won't crap out on you for three days a month!!!

:-) LOL

Are you sure about the last point ?

Are you sure about the last point. It's ENGLISH for god sake it's bound to have loads of faults and not work sometimes....You mean you have never owned a jag or an aston .

Look you've got to give it to the krouts they know how to build RELIABLE cars but they are all boring.

Look i know nothing about the noble,Just what that fat tosser Clarkson said that night. You can hear Darfader from the engine and it goes like s...t off a shovel. That will do for me! Oh and some bullshit about 0-60 in 3.7 and 170 and that gay bloke damon hill saying it wont live with a lambo.Who gives a toss, if you like it just buy it.I know its English so just get ready for some small things not to be right.Sorry but the quack said GET IT OFF YOUR CHEST. Long live fast cars to replace women of course for a year at least.
Cheers for the support guys ,might buy you all a drink at one of these meets or something.

Oh by the way MR Noble drives a BMW (thats the only thing i know about him.)and the fact that he has built a f...//g nice car.
Take it easy

Just waiting until it has dried and then brush it all down with a soft brush.

Then finish off with a gentle clean with a hosepipe (I use a mild soap as well).

Good idea to keep the water away from the "inner" section, but around the wheel arches you can spray away as there isn't much in the way of electrics down there.

Thanks Joust ,very helpful so I presume you just have to take care where you shove the hose!!!
I noticed you have a long history with noble reading some of your threads Could you explain if its possible to get PCP finance on this type of car where by the finance company sets the value of the car in say three years time .So after deposit +36 monthly payments you don't want to pay the baloon, Say 3R is worth £40 and the last payment is worth £30k the pcp company writes you a cheque for £10k and you walk away with nothing correct,or as dealers say the £10k goes as a deposit for a new car.Is that about right Joust? cheers

james1, I believe the correct quote from Damon Hill was "on a tricky road the Lambo won't live with the kart-like Noble. It's shatteringly quick and it's hyper-responsive." Here is a link to the article, check it out for yourself! www.gto3.com/press/Octane052003.htm
