Hi Justin and Stuh, yesterday I left my car at the factory for its' annual service and a power upgrade. Unfortunately I have the old ECU with the old wiring loom and this will need to be replaced with the new version at a cost of £4000. The power upgrade is an extra £2000. I would be grateful if you could reassure me I will notice the difference. Does it perform as well as the 3L version - or even better because of the improved power to weight? Steve.

Justin, thanks for the dyno curves for your upgrade. Did you receive my email containing the dyno curve for my car? It might seem strange but I am about to embark on a £6000 exercise to downgrade my power from 345bhp (the power upgrade was carried out in Spring '02) to 340bhp (with the new ECU). However the wider power spread (IMHO) for the later 340bhp version will make the car more tractable. Is this your finding too?

Joust do you mean sunday the 21st for bruntingthorpe Vmax.
If so it will be interesting to see how the noble does against the 911 turbo's etc.
Cant wait
As well known though, the Noble is a bit of a "brick" at high speed due to its shape - 911's are much much more slippery so they have an advantage.
