"EUROPEAN EXOTIC SPORTS CARS ON THEIR WAY FOR THE MOTOR SHOW"
Says it'll have 2.5l engine - is this reverse Australian inflation, I wonder?! :-)

I doubt it will have a "2.5-litre Duratec V6 engine and twin Garret supercharges". I am sure it will have the 3.0-litre Duratec V6 engine and twin Garret turbochargers as does the UK cars as well as the US, Italy, etc. We'll wait to see what simon has to say though.

All Australian Nobles will be 3R spec, with the 3.0-litre engine. We no longer supply the 2.5-litre unit in any new car.
Thanks Simon, I thought so - you might like to tell your Aussie importers that the text used on the Melbourne motor show web site indicates a 2.5 litre motor, which may confuse our Antipodian petrolhead friends!

just got back from the Melbourne Motor show having got a sit in the car. I'm sort of impressed but there are some issues I think. $200K is a bit over the top in my view and a 1 year warranty is no longer good enough. Still thinking about it though.............
Peter, I make that £82,600 which (if I've done my sums correctly?!) seems excessive as the product is £52,500 here - scratching of head ensues!!! :-)
Agree re the one-year warranty but that's it!
The Oz price reflects the extra cost in import taxes and transportation to get it into the market. You will find that this applies to all imported cars, hence the difference in price between the likes of Lotus, Porsche and Noble it roughly what it is over here. MGA has fought hard to keep the price below $200k and should be applauded for succeeding. By the way, aircon and the alarm/immobilser are standard on Oz cars, which would normally add approx. £2400 to the price of a UK car.
All said and done, when the Zonda Roadster was sitting next to the Noble with a $1.4m price tag on it (also more expensive than in UK) the M12 looked pretty tempting!

It's still very appealing, it's just a lot of money, that's all. I should have stressed that of the near $200K over $50K of that goes to our fabulous government, $32K of which is our brilliant (wait for it....) Luxury Car Tax. It's quite indecent really, if the weather wasn't so good I'd bloody well move. I might anyway. What the guys are saying on comparisons is about right. the new Exige is $99,950
