Head clearance and rollcage
Discussion
Just an observation really.
Sat in a 3R today in HR Owen and i noticed that i had a huge amount of headroom (rare for someone 6ft2+) but the rollcage wasn't that far to the right...
Do you find you hit your head on the rollcage if you get bumped around by the road/cornering etc?
My brother is tempted by one and this is something i noticed. Overall i was very happy with the interior... basic but perfect driving position, nicely positioned pedals, and everyone felt right
Cheers all

rico, I am 6ft6 and I had no troubles with headroom or with my head hitting the rollcage on my test drive nor whilst being a passenger! I did have a bit of trouble seeing stop lights change to green(US) while in the lead position, but I was told that some changes could be made to the seat to lower it a bit for very tall owners such as myself. At 6ft2 I should think you would be fine with the standard seat, unless you are long in the torso and short of leg then you may need the seat mod.

You have to do something REALLY dramatic to get shaken about, even when moving at speed. The car sticks like s**t to a blanket and you don't lurch from side to side under normal circumstances

I'm 6ft and I have about an inch to spare above the bonce - not sure that I'll fit with a lid on - maybe I should look at getting the seat lowered. I found the 'sun visors' yesterday - with those lowered I can't see a bloody thing!

Eh? Perfect driving position? The pedals are way offset to the left... not what I would call perfect. After an hour or so it can be quite uncomfortable.
Marlon,
You seem to be having a few problems. In particular I note your comments regarding the pedal settings. I've also noticed that Rob Sherwin has mentioned on his profile that he intends to change the pedal settings at his first service. Do we have a problem here. Fair to point out that only a few have mentioned this matter.
Regards.
Chris.
PS Great picture of the red 3R on the Melbourne Motor Show site. Thanks for pointing it out.

Chaps, no problem with the standard pedal layout, I've just covered the first 1,000 miles and this works fine - the mod I'm having includes moving the accelerator pedal up higher and also angles the facing to the left for easier heel-and-toeing. I'd say that this isn't really necessary unless your intending introducing yours to some track tarmac!
