hi everyone! yesterday i had pulled over to answer my phone and after a short while i heard the engine was sounding abit funny i looked at the temp gauge and it was 120+ so i turned car off waited a while then left again when temp had gone done but it shot back to 120! at home i had a look at all the levels and found the coolant to be low so filled up only to hear it coming out under the car at the front! any ideas whats wrong?

If it's coming out at the front then it might be a damaged radiator. If you're lucky though it could just be a split hose, or even better, a slightly lose hose clip that just needs tightening. Best thing is to open up the clamshell and try to see exactly where the water's coming from.

Sounds like a coolant hose has come away. I've had the very same thing myself. You shoulde be able to push it back on and retighten the jubilee clip..............

Harrysnoble,

I'd suggest a visit to your dealer asap. Even if you've found the source of the leak, it'll certainly need the anti-freeze levels checking, and if you've lost a lot of coolant, the system will need bleeding too.
