Any suggestions as to why almost every time I go to start it it won't and I need to switch-off, blip the alarm button, fiddle with the key and start-again?! MV did tell me that if I didn't start-immediately the immobiliser would kick-in but it's so inconvenient?!

Also, has anyone requested the change to their alarm logic whereby the doors lock when you start-up?

You only get about 20-30 seconds between unlocking and starting. It's standard stuff for any imobiliser I've ever owned. You just get used to it.

Rob, if the immobiliser has kicked in by the time you turn the key to "on" in the ignition, just "blip" the blipper and all the electrics should come straight back on. If you need to turn the ignition off, remove the key etc then there's something else wrong (or at least yours is different to mine!)

OK, anti-hijack door locking on startup option appears to be sorted: now when my engine starts the doors lock automatically and when I cut the engine the engine they unlock (this is not so good as if you've parked up you become unlocked so will just click the alarm blipper once to lock myself in!).

Suggest anyone interested emails me outside for the codes.
