Hi all you lucky Noble Owners,

I've been thinking of buying a 3R for a while after having several long test drives in the 2.5 GTO and finally seeing my first brand new showroom 3R last week.

Before I jump in with a purchase, I really need to know something.... Will this £56k monster fit in my houses integral single garage ?

So guys and gals, If you would be so kind.... Would you please measure your garages door apperture width and the internal width of your garage and let me know how you get on?

I may be able to get the think in, but it's no god if I cannot get in or out myself ?

With the low stance and deep seats, you usually need to open sports cars doors wider than normal car doors, and plain old measurements from brochures won't help.

I would much appreciate your help.

Regards,
Rich

If I were you, and worse comes to worse, I would drive the car as far in as I could then exit the vehicle and push it the rest of the way in. Just be sure you have a stop for the tires so the thing doesn't go through the back wall. This car is very light and is very easy to push around a shop. Good luck I hope it works out for you!

Rich, what do you park in your garage now? I had a Merc CLK in mine and, against that, the Noble is a couple of inces narrower and 1-2 feet shorter - hope this helps. Exact dimensions are on the Noble site and elsewhere. One thing I've found is it's too difficult to reverse in due to the rear visibility so I nose it in!

I always reverse in. My problem is not rear visibility and risk of hitting the wall as the garage is quite long). The problem is getting through the doorway, as there's only about 3" clearance each side. I find it far easier to present the rear to the doorway and keep a careful watch in the side mirrors as car creeps slowly backwards. Also it seems easier to correct the trajectory when in reverse gear!

Thanks guys,

But would you minds taking a tape measure to the width of the Garage door opening aperture, and the internal garage width ?

That way I can do a true comparison against my own garage.

Thanks for you help.

Hi Rich,

My garage is also a single integrated and the width of the aperture is 244 cm. Once the car is in, the full width of the garage is 312 cm. This is simple to reverse in using the mirrors and gives plenty of space to get the door open once inside (although I tend to park the passenger side as near the wall as possible as the door needs to open a fair way).

Regards,

Paul.

Watch out if there's any pitch into your garage, mines on an access road and the chin scrapes on the cobbles if I back it in - always have to go in forwards ! Try getting in and out of one a few times too, unless your a young pup you really do need to open the doors right out !!!

Why don't you ask your dealer if you have ANOTHER test drive so you can take it home to " road test " the garage? And don't forget to tell your neibours and mates so they can drool over the car!! Martin.
