Not sure i'd wanna take £50k using Paypal

Looks like the same one that's in classified. Way over priced IMO. Can get cheaper from a dealer.....

Stu, waddya mean overpriced?! the list would be £54,000 plus the plate (or £56,000 if a/c is fitted). Which dealer is selling a 3R for under £50,000?!

Hi Stuh

Would be intersted to see which dealer would go sub £50k.For a new one I was quoted £56950 including luggage set(well nylon bags for £500 quid what!) and usual extras.

Yep, it's the same one as in the PH Classified section. I see it's been joined by another 3R, so there's now four 3R's for sale on this site. Why wait the 9 months for a new one?

50K is his minimum and it ISN'T new as he has already put miles on the clock

My point was that for the 54k asked in the classified, Christopher Neil will do you one with 2k miles for 52.95k with a dealer warranty. Hmmm, let me think

You can have mine for 50k if you like

Because, there is always a risk buying privately. You will have to pay cash as the private buyer won't do finance. You will be the 2nd name on the V5. He won't do a trade in on your existing car. caveat emptor as they say...........

I really hopes he gets 54.5k, i have a noble to sell in a few months myself. For my money it would be a dealer for peace of mind and save myself a grand into the bargain.

I get the picture, but if you buy a second from a dealer are you not the second owner on the V5?

So what you are saying is buy a new one from a dealer have peace of mind ,use a finance scheme and you dont have to fork out 54K in cash. Also car you buy might still have finance on it and you would have to do a HPI check .What is the situation if you buy a car and it has outstanding finance on it? Is the private buyer liable or is there any form of protection.

Cheers

MAX

That's about the size of it

I obviously didn't make my point very well initially!

I just think as a private seller you have to at least undercut a dealers price by a couple of grand to make the risks you outlined worthwhile

Now i'll get my coat

Good news is that my car comes back from the factory at the weekend with it's new power upgrade - Hoorah

For anyone wishing to "brag" about power - may I suggest www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=26&h=&t=77575

Suffice to say my lowly 2.5 will be back in time for it having had the magical pixie dust sprinkled over it in copious quantities......

I'm just entering the spirit of the occasion... besides, too much power would be a good excuse if you only manage 5th place.... out of 5 cars.
