Hi,

Just noticed that the tail lights on the cars being completed in the US have different lights to the Mondeo ones fitted to UK cars ( see the 1g racing website).

The US ones look good. Better than the UK ones IMO.

Are they legal in the UK? Any chance of seeing them on UK cars?

Yes, they do look cool -I may be wrong but I think that the US light clusters are fitted with a red indicator light function, which is illegal on this side of the pond.

Is there a picture of these lights on a US Noble. Dont think they are illegal in Ireland and might go for them.

Anyone know whether its something the factory will fit or do you have to order from US.

My guess is order them direct from 1gRacing in the US (I think they're from a US car) as the factory would have little reason to be interested!

I'm afraid we do not supply the US-spec rear lights in the UK. 1g fit them to comply with US regs. At the end of the day, a UK Noble is a UK Noble, and we would rather not start to modify them with after-market bits.

In which case Justin, you need to convince your local chief he needs an open top high speed pursuit vehicle...should be an easy task with Surrey Police!!!

I would hope your sales policy is geared to ensuring no cars fall into the hands of disreputable types!!!

I thought the Hyundai Sonata rear light clusters used on the US Nobles was a slightly different shape to the UK Ford items, which necessitates the rear clam moulding to be modified accordingly?

Anybody know is it possible to get the rear lights (mondeo) blackened.

Yep - get a can of black spray paint

Despite lots of people searching we've never found an aftermarket smoked or clear light cluster - guess Mondeo MK1's just never appealed to the lax power lot...

Please be aware that the US rear light clusters will not fit on UK cars. The US cars' rear panels are modified before they leave SA.
