Gentlemen

As of this afternoon I've become proceedable in my quest for a Noble.

Whilst I can't claim to have the deepest pockets I fully intend to be enjoying your sort of motoring by Saturday next.

A 3R is definitely out of the question, and probably the 3 as well. However I'm open to proposals. Not easy to indicate a budget at this stage, as I guess that should be vehicle dependant.

On that front, even if you don't have a car but do have a view on what I should be looking for in a value for money way into the Noble camp then it would be happily received.

If I can find a car that suits, then I'll be willing to reach for the wallet straight away. Although I'd been keen to have the factory or a main dealer have a look at the car.

Many Thanks

Guy

Guy,

I'm in a similar posistion. As soon as a decent 2.5 comes up sub 30K I shall be after it.

At the moment 35K - 40K seems to buy you a decent 2.5 (neared the 35K end) or a mint 3 (40K end).

Regards
Matt

Thanks for your posts and emails.

Matt: How long before you are looking to make the jump? I've been quite surprised how effective the forum route has proved when looking for a car. It certainly seems an effective way of bringing parties together, particularly when there is quite a gap between dealer and private values.

The only area of uncertainty, when on a tight budget, is how durable the higher mileage cars will be?

Stuh: Thanks for the offer, but I fear (thankfully) that I may find myself in a Noble sooner than I thought! If things change I will of course let you know. Any idea when your GTC will arrive?

Michael: Thanks for the heads up.

Regards

Guy

Choices: 3 - 6 Months, unless something at a very attractive price crops up. Durability isn't really a problem from what I've heard and I've not found anything I can't sort out with a bit of skill and a touch of brute force.

I cut my teeth of forced induction lumps, and the fact the M12 uses an ECU that easily mapable just adds to the package.

Do you mind if I ask what you got for parting with your M12 2.5litre? We are about to do the same with the 3R or GTC

Looking forward to seeing how the 2.5's with the power upgrade compare with the 3L's on track.......
