Noble M12 heads to Australia

Ready for launch at Melbourne Motor Show

Motor Group Australia Pty Ltd. has been appointed as sole distributor for Noble cars in Australia and South East Asia. Their first car – a Portifino Metallic M12 GTO-3R – has already been delivered, and will receive its official press launch at the Melbourne Motor Show on February 27th.

MGA will be selling Nobles from its dealers in Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth. The group is already the sole importer of MG Rover cars in Australia, selling 800 new cars each year. The company employs 1025 staff and has an annual turnover of A$40m.

Michel De Vriendt, Managing Director of MGA said: “Motor Group Australia is looking forward to selling the M12. We are extremely impressed by the engineering refinement of this car, its outstanding performance and exceptional build quality. The M12 is arguably the most exciting production motor vehicle to come to our shores for some years. We are extremely confident it will make a huge impact in the premium sports car category when it is officially launched at the Melbourne International Motor Show in February .”

Motor Group Australia will join "1g Racing" in the USA, "UK Garage" in Italy and "Sportmobil" in Moscow as worldwide representatives of the Noble brand.

This is great news for us poor convict cousins. It's hard to get proper (non-japanese) sports cars, particularly low volume ones, in Oz. I shudder to thikn what the price might be though......Luckily the Melbourne Motor show co-incides with the Australian GP, so I'll be there !

Peter,

I doubt whether MGA has announced prices yet, so I think it only right that I should leave this side of it to them. Sorry.

Out of interest, though, what realistic price would you like to see on the Noble when it hits Oz?

I'm hoping for about AUD$140K or less. I spoke to the MGA guys last week and they haven't got as far as final prices yet, but are keen to understand the market for the car. An 111S here is $99.9K basically, to give you a guide.

Morning all,

Actually it's early evening here (I'm taking in the Kiwi summer).
I've been talking to a few people here in NZ about
Noble and was really suprised to find that a ot of car lovers out here know all about them and there's a bit of demand for them. Considering the number of Ferraris and Porsches around budget doesn;t seem to be a problem.

Good eh?!

Well I guess once we get 'em, they're easy to get to you guys (Mind you, NZ does better than OZ on available talent as a rule anyway).

Cheers
