haven't a clue what Grahams will do top end, kidding about the 187 I've only been to 165 in my GTS, but think they are supposed to around 178 in standard form with a long straight
there's a few vids on the club site

Managed 150mph on the A1(M) a couple of times (briefly), but none of the tracks have enabled a full speed run. Car is standard apart from the Mopar exhaust, so I guess 174mph would be the book speed. However, condsidering Nad & Sarah 'only' managed 178mph at TOTB, then I doubt much over 160mph on the day - if we even get to test that?
Did do a 12.5s 1/4 mile last year at Santa Pod though, click here to see it...

Viper said:If you are talking about Brunters suprisingly it makes about 1 or 2mph difference having a running start around the end rather than just gunning from the start of the straight....
the 178 was done off a standing start with only a mile, you'll be moving as you join the straight thats got to be worth quite a bit, if they let you do it thats is.
Strange but true...

Just back from doing the Noble vs Viper filming with Graham (viper_larry).
Good day, if a bit too much standing around.
What was the result? Well on the straight bits (short track) we both nailed it and stayed exactly the same distance apart all the way before braking at around 140ish, so it would be fair to say straight line performance was pretty similar.
Graham got a speedo indicated 180 using the full runway, while I got a GPS verified 160 (wasn't looking at the dials). Although not run next to each other, this certainly indicates that the 8.0 liter Viper has a higher top end.
Neither of us was pushing it too hard in the corners while close to each other, so there was no comparison to be had.
We then had to put our mugs on film and say why we liked the car, what was special etc, and why yours was better than the other. Graham was most generous and didn't slag the Noble... He didn't hear what I said about the Viper so lets wait until March to hear it Don't worry Graham, I wasn't too unkind
Hopefully some of Grahams photos will be emailed soon, so I'll post them on my website.
