I'm looking to purchase a GTO or GTO 3 and have, therefore, been following the various treads regarding depreciation and resale values. It seems to me that the fact that the couple of GTO 3s in the classifieds @ under £40,000 have both sold gives a good indication of current values. There are buyers out there if prices are realistic.

If any of you have a car for sale and want a bit more than the dealers will pay, (but not too much more!), then please get it touch.

I'm expecting to pay circa £30,000 for a 2.5 or between £35 and £40K for a 3 litre.

Thanks

Well seeing as I have spent the best part of 65k in total on my car and only done 12k (1.5k on the new engine gearbox & LSD), there is no way I'm selling it now to realise such a huge hit! I figure if it has as 20k on it in a years time it will be still worth a similar amount- but I bought it to drive it and keep it...

I hate to say it, but Mr Wanted is right and you GTO owners are wrong!

The last two cars that I have seen with SOLD on the ad were advertised for £40 K, so that is what he should be looking to pay....

Except that I am interested as now, and willing to pay £42 K so one of you two chaps has made £2k overnight!

This is historically the best time of year for the buyer - and, of course, the worst time for the seller - just wait a couple of months and see the change with those longer days and (hopeful?!) heat increase!

You can have my GTO3 for £45k, if you can wait until I order and receive a 3R as a replacement!

Not sure if the Market price has risen to £45 K yet. There is still oversupply!

Still, I am not joking, I am interested in a car so what is the spec?
