Got both Clarkson's Shoot Out and Brundle's Super cars for Christmas presents.

From a drivers point of view, I have to say I prefered Brundle's Super Car DVD. I think he was very brave to leave in the piece where he drove the McLaren on a very wet greasy country road, and nearly lost it whilst commentating. His face was a picture.

I'm not sure what Clarkson was on when he voted the VX220 the best of test.

Any other DVD's in your Santa's sack?

Cheers,
Ian.

I have those 2 DVD's as well, agree that the Brundle one is more for people who like 'driving'. Found the Shoot Out one ok, but whats the point of just braying the cars doing doughnuts on an airstrip? Preferred the free DVD in Top Gear the other month over the Shoot Out DVD....sad but true

Did anyone see TG last night when the Stig hooned round the track in a 3R with high breeches himself Simon Cowell? Wow, the Stig can drive did Clarkson say he did 125 mph through that corner? Nobles must be soooo composed to do that, would have spun like a top if I tried it in the chim Cowell did not seem too flustered by the proceedings, he has got 360 Modena himself though.

Yep - saw TG, and it was 125mph. I guess we hoped Simon Cowell was going to look at least a little scared !

At least he lost it when he took the wheel...

Happy New Year, and take care !!!

Went and bought the Martin Brundle Supercar Shootout DVD today after reading your comments - well worth £17 IMHO

Shame the criteria for selection is 200 MPH+ top speed. Has he expressed an opinion on the M12 ?

I went and bought it also

watched it last night fantastic. laughed out loud at his face during the moment in the F1
And that TVR sounded amazing.

is it worth getting the Clarkson one as well? wont bother if its just smashing up carravans.

The Clarkson one is ok, but he does'nt really drive them if you know what I mean, he does doughnuts and powerslides on an airstrip. Some people will like it, its not my type of thing though to be honest

The T440 on the Brundle video seems very impressive, he seems to like it too. The diameter of the rear exhaust pipes looks ludicrously big (read howitzer big)

I think I have met you at Elvington track day a couple of months ago. I was in the Blue EVO 6 and I think you were driving a TVR Chimaera?

Am I right?

Yes you are right!! Hello

Was very nice to meet you. You looked like you had enjoyed yourself on the airstrip

Blimey, I looked out for the Warrender Evo after you told me about it. Wow that thing was a jet plane Think it had some problems during a few laps; was backfiring and sounding rough. They came in and sorted it, then back out for more hooning!

Hope to see you again sometime!

Best Regards

MOD.

Yes, I got to Elvington pretty regularly. You want to give it a go in your TVR I think you will enjoy it.
