Hi and Happy New Year to all Noble owners.

Lost the driver's wiper arm yesterday. Where can i get one from at this time of year or what car are they from. Tries local accessorory shops with the number on th item being G2 8156 but no one can look it up?

Will I have to wait until the factory opens again in the New Year??

Any help appreciated!

It came away in my hand this time. Last year they flew off the windscreen during heavy rain!!

Fixed with modified base plate by Mole Valley but wiper casting at base split and the wiper came away in my hand!!

Just out of curiosity.

Does the fuse to your wipers blow every time you drive the car in heavy rain like mine did? I must have replaced it at least four times!

Hi,

No nothing wrong with electrics just mechanical problems with the wiper arms etc!

When does the factory or Mole Valley re-open?

Could be a part design, though more likely an installation/location design, fault? IMHO the unit should give trouble free use for the life of the vehicle, or at least for the first 15 years - there's no excuse for this problem!

Hi Group,

Id we get to the bottom of this one, and all the other posts on wipers. My driver’s side arm has developed too much play around the spring-loaded joint at the base and needs to be replaced.

Question: did anyone find what these wiper arms are from?

Best regards,

Lynton

The wipers seem very prone to alignment at the base. Our wipers collided mid screen in heavy rain and blew the fuse. The factory made an adjustment and all has been well since..................

Thanks for the response - I will re-align the wipers. Mine also collided in heavy rain. However, I think the real problem with my driver's side wiper is that there is now too much play at the base spring joint. So the best remedy, I believe, is to replace the offending wiper arm and re-align.

So the question is:

WHAT RUN-OF-THE-MILL CAR DOES THIS WIPER ARM COME FROM? PLEASE.....

Hey Noble, how about a single wiper - may even loose some weight.

Best regards,

Lynton

Well I hate to answer my own question but, for all those interested - and want to talk technical [not just about colour ;-)]. The arms are custom bend, only available via SA. Factory has stock.

My driver's side wiper arm had fractured at the sprung joint causing play and entanglement. Now replaced. I also set the wiper a little higher to aid clearance.

A change to the new Bosch blade with spoiler looks good for all those Max freaks, but is more robust than standard.
