Hello,

I'm considering the purchase of a noble M12 next year.

Is it possible to have different rear lights even if they cost more? The old Mondeo lights really spoil the look of the car.

Apart from that the car looks excellent.

I don't want to mess about with after market products, I want to know if the factory can fit different rear lights.

I currently have a TVR Tuscan S which will be 2 years old next year and I'm considering the M12 to replace it.

Cheers.

The american market cars have different lights - ring the factory and ask.

I believe they're from a Hyundai Sonata (don't know if the UK model is the same as the US one), but I'd have thought the factory will be able to source and fit for you (I think the rear clam mould required modifying slightly to fit the Hyundai items).

AFAIK there is no after market option - presumably because the Mondeo isn't a Lax Power favourite

I'm happy to be corrected by someone more knowledeable than myself, but when I was at the last Birmingham MotorShow I enquired on the Noble stand if I could specify recirculating dump valves on a new Noble as I wasn't overly keen on the "whoosh" noise.

I was told in an everso slightly snooty way that Noble did not make ANY customisations to their cars for customers.

If you are prepared to pay a little more (and also perhaps wait a little longer) then I believe that within reason Noble will allow you to alter your car away from 'standard plus options' spec. There are some examples of this among PH regulars and other owners I've met.

With regard to this thread question on rear lights. I'm in total agreement and would change mine tomorrow if an aftermarket version were available.

However, IMO the US-spec lights could be fitted to a UK car
a) Only if it would still pass UK Single Vehicle Approval. (Don't US rear lights have red, not orange, indicators??)
b) The rear clam may also need to be US spec if the fittings are different.
