Does anyone know if the 3R has less ground clearance than the standard 3. I have just swapped cars and have crunched the bottom twice now on roads that I cleared easily before. The noise sounded bloody awful but I am assured it is doing no damage.

There's no difference in ground clearance between the GTO-3 and the 3R. I'm afraid I can't explain why your 3R grounds more often - there's certainly no reason for this that I can think of.

We frequently test cars on a particular B road route near the factory, and at higher speeds the cars will always bottom out at two points along the road. All the cars I've tested have the same characteristics (3s and 3Rs) and yes, it does sound awful, but no, it never does any damage.

Hope this reassures you!

Thanks for the response - maybe I have put on a few extra pounds pre Christmas and need to get my lazy a** down to the gym rather than driving everywhere in my great new toy

Thanks again
