Hi Folks,

I ordered my GTO 3R at the beginning of July (supposedly the dealer would have put the order through on Monday 7th).

Did anyone else order one around that time? I'm pestering the dealer to find out my build number and ETA, but have heard nothing in response... was expecting to shell out the next deposit around now.

Those of you who have received your cars in the past week or so, when did you order them? When can I expect mine! If the dealer doesn't get back to me this week with a date, is there a contact at the factory I could ask?

Cheers.

Marlon, I ordered in June and was asked to pay both deposits within a few weeks. I heard no more than a month later that I had R77 which is due either in late November or Jan-Feb depending on who you are listening to at the time (or maybe they're building me two!!!)!

IMHO, you should have been asked for your deposits and have been told your build slot by now - but the dealers work in different ways so you shouldn't necessarily concern yourself.

AMG,

What dealer did you use?

Tell me it was Kerridges (Needham Market)...

Marlon,

All dealers handle this differently, some ask for both deposits together or very closely together, some just ask for a single deposit. A number of things could impact the delivery times though, special colour, bespoke fittings etc.

The best way to find out your buld number, providing you have spec'd your car up is ring the sales department at the factory and ask them.

My tip is, ignore the build number, and just wait for a firm date from either the dealer or factory.

There must have been a flurry or orders in June! Just been told that I'm build number 128, due 2nd week in March.

...that comes out at approx. 20/month (taking into account the Xmas break). I'm assuming that someting like number 40 is coming out of the door now?!

Mid-40's? Yay! R47 should be along soon then

If anyone spots a non-standard blue R in the factory, that'll be mine

I'm build 46 (Titanium) and I'm going up to the factory on Monday to see it in assembly. Delivery, I'm told, is first week in November. I ordered at the motor show last October! Can't wait.
