Rattles

[PTM12]

1500 miles in and really enjoying the car... but I seem to be plagued with rattles/rasping from the rear of the car.

It's been back in twice and each time the problem has been diagnosed as heat shield coming loose. Each time fixed but has just started again!

Anyone familiar with this problem? Have a solution? or is this somthing that one just needs to get used to?

Sounds like mine was , if its ok when cold but starts to rattle etc as it gets up to temperature it's the baffles in the exhaust which means a new silencer box.

Had the same thing - baffles coming loose, MV fixed them but they went again so factory put a new silencer on and it is sorted.

Nod - I am told there was a manufacturing issue with some of the 3.0l exhausts - mine was also fixed without me even asking.

As kj says the symptoms are that it goes away when the car gets up to temp - if your's doesn't then it's something else.
