Lets ask Ted to start a new category for all the "spotted" posts.

It seems to me that real Noble owners (with one or two exceptions)dont actually post anything worthwile here because most of the subscribers are just tourists.

The same is true of 'spotteds' in most forums/chat groups.

If you don't want them, then just say so and let's hope people take note. Generally they don't add much to the conversation

fair point Ted,

not really looked at too many other forums cept Lotus where there are admittedly the odd sptted routine but by an large the subscibers are more focused on their machines and how to make em go faster / further :-))

Actually to be fair the spotteds in here are usually from non-Noble owning enthusiasts just excited to see one. Let's face it they're still very rare cars. I've seen very few on the road.

As I'm guilty of Noble spotting recently, I'd like to point out that it was really nice to know there's a Noble on my home patch and it did encourage that owner to make his first PH post!

I enjoy NOT being 'spotted' (only 'caught' once on this forum). The posts don't do any harm though, and help build up a picture of where the cars are dotted about.

...don't expect to drive an exclusive and impressive looking sports-car and not be marvelled at - buy a Mondeo!!!

IMO spotted doesn't hurt at all -it does give a good idea of the geographical spread of Noble's across the land and, let's face it, its nice to be noticed! :-)

Nothing wrong with being spotted. To clarify, when I said I enjoy not being spotted, I mean it is great fun to manage to do long trips and detours through towns and villages without getting 'reported'.

I never get spotted!

Then again I probably drive my noble so fast than no one can see me!!

It's going to be even faster when I get her back from having a new more powerful engine fitted!

guilty as charged... didn't think I was doing any harm though. Mine is only a couple of months off now and I was getting a bit over excited seeing one (relatively) near my place.

won't do it again

Can't see anything wrong with it myself. It's nice that people actually take notice and bother to find out if it's a fellow PHer. If you aren't interested just don't read the "Spotted" posts. I'd hate to think people felt put off posting 'cos they were worried about others thinking "doh, not another spotted post".

okay I guess it was a bit thoughtless of me to be so critical of "spotters"!

I'd bin to Oulton Park to watch the BTCC yesterday. it was a terrific day out with literally 1000's of spectators. The Noble attracted a not unusual number of admiring comments the most common being "you dont see many of these do ya?"

I could only agree because I dont live in Richmond ;-)

Lotus Azure blue - dropped it at the factory on monday evening for a massive upgrade session, will be back sometime next month and it will be about alot as I will need to run it in - therefore should be easy to spot as it will be going slowly!
