Can't open car

I've gone to get the car out of the garage this morning but it won't open. I have tried both keyfobs but all I get is a single bleep coming from under the front clam. Is this just a flat battery or something else?
If it is the battery is there an easy way to connect a charger to it?

Yes I managed to get in.

needless to say i've now purchased a trickle charger!
