Exhaust funny....

I noticed at the weekend that my exhaust near the front turbo seems to have an unexpected join in it. It's held together by a kind of double-nutted ring bracket - has anyone else seen this on theirs or my exhaust 'special'? Only noticed it because it was leaking water a little when running.
