No 27 should be back with me before end of next week!

I've got that feeling of waiting for a new car all over again.

How bizarre! Upon initial reading I thought you'd nicked my order slot! Mine's R27, and should also be emerging from the factory within a short period of time.

That's feeling is getting stronger every day...

Without wishing to state the obvious Joust, to all intents an purposes it is a new car.

Run it in properly before Brunters.

It's mainly been getting the upgrades that I had done to it a few months ago, and the new engine, correct and working. Ever since the new engine went in it's been having a bit of a funny time (which is strange because the old one was very sweet until I stupidly blew it up.....)

A few weird things have flummoxed quite a few experts, but now the factory's just rung me up and said everything is well and truly worked out and the engine is currently being taken out so that it can be all sorted.

Happy man I am!

And, once again, thanks to Joust, for indirectly educating the factory by way of their fault-finding on his motor - this can only benefit us all!

The factory should be congratulated. Having had a tracker call on one morning at 6:30am and yesterday on bank holiday Monday () to say the car had been moved, the desire from them to work full pelt to get the car back to me has been wholly apparent.

How many (if any) other manufacturers of anything (not just cars) would work that early or on public holidays to sort out a customers car!

Sure, it would have been a lot better if I hadn't had the issues I've had (and I've had my moments of frustration), but for such a small company they should be wholly congratulated on the "overall" experience end to end.

Certainly the fault diagnosis that has happened on my car will enhance the overall knowledge base of 2.5's - which gives me confidence to stick with the 2.5.

I am not totally sure of what the issues, but certainly third party incorrect supply / cock-ups are involved, and one cannot therefore lay claim that there is anything signifiacntly wrong with the fundamentals of what is being delivered, it's more a quality and supplier management issue it appears. That gives me confidence, and at the end of the day the issues have been sorted out without drama and without any cost to myself - a wholly different experience to some other engine problems that have appeared on here from time to time....

Me - I'm now just like a little expectant father waiting for the baby to be delivered - although running it again will be the hardest possible thing I will have to do, having experienced the true potential of the car!

Oh Joe - that's awful.

If you want anything sent over (mags/whatever) as they come out let me know and I'll try and keep you "stocked up" to make the wait a bit easier.
