Engine change

I'm thinking of changing my engine from the 2.5L to the 3L (I have had discussions with factory) and was just wondering whether anyone might be interested in buying a 2.5L with all the bits - 5spd Gearbox std diff. etc......

Surely it's cheaper to just sell your 2.5 and buy a 3.0 - the price differential is surely less than the price of a new engine???

Can't see you selling it very easily, although maybe theres a kit car it would fit in?

IIRC the ballpark price for the 3 litre is 10k. Doesn't seem to economic to me, especially if you want a new 6spd gearbox etc. etc.

Well to change to a new 3 with all the bits I want fitted to mine is going to cost around 20k assuming someone will buy my car for 40k - which I think is unlikely...

Engine is 16k + fitting + VAT, so not that far off.....

Hmm, which state of tune are you talking about?

Boggo standard 340/355 (whichever it is ).

Lee priced the new engine up for me as I was interested, and that's what they came back with.
