Has anyone heard of any six speed 3Rs being delivered yet? I was speaking to someone from Noble at the Autocar day a couple of weeks ago and he reckoned that they would start to be shipped in 'two to three weeks time'.

Hi tomahawk. Billywiz's car has a 6 speeder, see:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=46369&f=26&h=0&hw=billywiz

plus there should be a few others on the road by now judging by comments on various threads, even given Lee's comments on the Ford fcuk up

Has anyone heard ANYTHING recently about 3R delivery (preferably from the factory).

What build number are they up to? How many a week are being pumped out?

I think I recall that Billywiz (I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong!)had number 10 on the road but it should has long passed that build number by now?!

Strange one this. When at the factory 3 weeks ago, I was told mine (R36) would be around 9 weeks away. I was also told that no 3R's had been shipped to customers at that time.

They were expecting to start shipping customer cars about a week ago.

Cheers, Mark

lotusnobles,

Top news! I just yelped and woke the Mrs when reading your post. Are they coming in order, or are 20 & 21 5-speed gearboxes? Have you been given due dates for your next delivery & build numbers?

Anyone know what the current production rate is - 12 or 16 per month?

Lotusnobles said 'just had R20 & R21 delivered'. I know they don't arrive in exact numerical order but it still means that my R23 is tantalizingly close. Better go and polish the cheque book.

Nice one, however I'm glad it's only your cheque book you'll be polishing tomahawk! - despite this exciting news.

Yes sidekick , these days it's just a quick buff up of the thing closest to my heart.
Sometimes , however , when I'm rocking away on the porch and stoking my trusty meerschaum , I remember with fond affection , the teachings of that great tome 'Zen and the gentle art of missile maintenance'.

Bob, YHM.

Like most I've heard nothing official on delivery, so thought you would all appreciate an update.

For those waiting delivery, the news is that numbers 23-26 are 'in build' at the moment. There's then 4 dealer builds taking place, so 27 onwards should begin circa 2nd/3rd week of September.

They claim around 4 per week and this does seem pretty accurate.

Would the dealer builds not be 27-30?? My car, R29, was originally a dealer slot which they allowed me to pinch

Don't think so as I believe the dealer builds are demonstrators. 27 is my car, not a dealer car.
