my standard can is pretty dirty and rusty, think i wold be best changing it, i know noblemods and the pro alloy do them but to be honest they seem pretty expensive compared to the universal models made by say greddy.
is it ok to use one of these even if it needs a little modification to accept an outlet hose back to the sump.
this is the sort of thing i mean

my local dealer in germany can get me a whole host of these universal cans i was just wondering if there is something extra special about the noble one like its internals for instance
cheers

The main advantage of installing a new one is to stop the breather venting back into the induction side, which on track work can be quite a bit. I think both the NM and Pro alloy one have a restriction on the drain back to the sump as well (as per factory, think RobP had this done and stopped the problem?). The NM one vents to atmosphere via the top filter, not sure about the Pro alloy one, does not seem to vent anywhere. I ran a mocal one for a couple of years as does Kevin (gto400) IIRC with no problems.

right have moved forward with this a bit
german company sandtler, look here under A-Z then O and then olsammler
http://www.sandtler.de/inhalt_index.htm
cant post direct link sorry and assumed you cant all read german lol
seems to be 79.80 for the can and then 25 for the filter
total 104 euros for the kit.
ok the bottom doesnt have a outlet for a feed back to the sump but this is easily modified if desirable which i assume it is
seems like a bargain
what do you all think?
