Hi All

I went and did it last week, I got myself a 3R at last!

Firstly, thanks to everyone that responded with offers of help to my previous message regarding garage space, there's an awful lot of friendly folk on here, which is great for the forum.

Anyway, all I can say is that a week on, and I am still smiling. I have not driven it since picking it up, as I had to leave it at my brothers house whilst my garage is cleared out. Initial impressions are that it is quite possibly the best decision I have ever made, apart from marrying my wife.
I got the car from Castle TVR in Stanstead, and it is in great nic having covered only 7,500 miles.
Only concerns since driving it have been petrol smell in cabin, but reading this forum suggests that this is common, so I am not too concerned just yet.

I'm gonna take care of the obvious issues highlighted by forum such as replacing the rivots etc, I've been quoted a price of £200 at a garage, is this reasonable? Insurance was a bargain at £400 through Heretige fyi, covers the wifey too.

I get the car back this Saturday, so will try and post pics and give more of an update later, but just thought I'd share my joy with you guys.

Thanks again for advice in the past, that re-assurred me into making this happen

A

Hi

It's metallic burgundy with cream leather. To be honest, it was not my prefered colour combo, but in the flesh it looks fine. I was more interested in making sure the car was in great condition, which this one is.

You may have seen it advertised on the pistonheads website for the last few months.

I am a bit impulsive, so din't want to sit it out and wait for my ideal colour to come along either, I just wanted to get a good car, and start enjoying it asap

Pretty damn good if you ask me. I was quoted £500 at a Noble approved service centre.
